Let's compare the two....Did you know?....that the State of California requires unarmed guards to have only 2 hours of training, and armed guards are required to have only 2 days of training before their initial assignment? To become a private investigator it takes only 3 years of "investigative" work. Perhaps worst of all, some guards with serious criminal records are on the job before the State of California has even started their background investigation.

Retired peace officers, over the course of their careers, have completed an intensive police academy, field training, advanced officer, firearms, investigations, and over one thousand hours of specialized training. Most have earned college degrees. All of them have passed comprehensive background investigations,  and psychological & medical examinations that the vast majority of applicants fail. Many have progressed up the ranks to increasing responsibilities and knowledge. They have given their entire professional careers to serving & protecting people & property.
