Who He is

Craig Koss is the Owner/Operator, and Private Investigator of Coarsegold Private Security & Investigation.

He also has experience as a Park Ranger with the Hayward Area Recreation & Park District, and as a Airport Police Officer with the City of San Jose (the SJ Airport PD has since merged with SJPD). 

His assignments during his career included Watch Commander, Patrol, Training Manager & Field Training Sergeant, Investigations, Crime Prevention, Dignitary Protection, Bicycle Patrol Supervisor, and Administration.

During his career he earned several commendations and a Citation for Exemplary Performance.

In the private field, he has been a State licensed Private Investigator and Private Patrol Operator since 1989. He was the Owner/Operator of San Lorenzo Patrol & Investigation Service in the San Francisco bay area.

Upon his retirement from the San Francisco Sheriff's Department, he and his wife moved to the friendly gold country town of Coarsegold.

My Business

is certainly not the biggest, in fact, it might be the smallest. It's about quality and not quanity. It's about meeting individual needs and resolving problems.

My goal is to provide each client with true "peace of mind" and to make a safe community even safer.

My wife and I own a home in this community and we care a great deal about the people who live here. 

When my case load exceeds my ability to give your situation my complete attention, I am assisted by other professional retired peace officers.
